437 Squadron delivers Prime Minister to Prague - Part 2

Sgt Marc Desgagne, the lead flight steward prepares a meal for the cockpit crew to help with the long flight.

Sgt Pierre Robert is said to be able to lure anyone into his work party and he proves so with the elusive Military Police Sgt Crystal Krammer. With dishtowel in hand there can be no doubt that the Prime Ministers flight to Prague was a team effort with all hands working throughout the night and into the next day.

437 Sqn has a variety of assets at its disposal including portable xray equipment. Here seen using the equipment on location is Mcpl Mike Thompson, who was recruited out of Ottawa for this high profile flight.

MCpl Lynda Martin-Johnson finds the Chief of Defence, General Raymond Henault, to be quite humorous prior to leaving Prague. Martin-Johnson was constantly on the go in the VIP section before, during and after the flight.

Capt Steve Rundle preps his aircraft prior to departure from the nation’s capital on Tues. Nov. 19. The flight was in support of the NATO Summit in Prague, with VIP passengers: Prime Minister Jean Chretien, Gen Heneault CDS, and John McCullum, Minister of Defence, among others.

437 Squadron can say they have all the right stuff with this crew, they can also say they have all the elements covered with Air, Navy and Land. From the left Cpl Rob Hillier, Ls Denis Gautreau and Cpl Guy Valade. These guys really know what customer service is all about!
